Nike Metcon 9 Premium Workout Shoes are an upgraded take on the standard Metcon 9, pairing the same stable cross training platform with elevated materials.
They remain focused on strength training and functional fitness, using a flat, wide base, Hyperlift heel plate and reinforced upper for heavy lifts, rope climbs and mixed modal workouts.
It features such as an enlarged Hyperlift crash pad in the heel and new rubber rope wrap, promoted as key upgrades over the Metcon 8 for improved stability and rope grip during climbs.
Upper sole: The Metcon 9 uses a breathable mesh reinforced with 3D haptic print overlays in high wear areas to improve durability without adding too much weight.
Midsole cushioning: Dual density midsole, firmer around the perimeter for stability and softer directly underfoot for comfort and impact absorption.
Hyperlift stability: The defining stability feature is the enlarged Hyperlift plate in the heel, a rigid TPU crash pad that resists compression and adds stiffness, helping the shoe stay rock solid.
Outsole traction: A durable rubber outsole with a training focused tread pattern provides strong grip on rubber gym flooring and similar surfaces.
